Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy in Los Angeles
“I have been in and out of physical therapy, acupuncture, doctors, chiropractors…trying to help my chronic headaches. Vivian is a compassionate; tell it like it is, woman who gives so much more than her PT skills. She has made me aware of not just the physical but the emotional habits that are causing my pain. So I can attack the problem form all sides. For the first time I have hope that one day I will be headache free and a stronger person!”
Kelly Musson

“I am completely sold on Physical Therapy after my session with Prevent The Pain Therapy. I am amazed at my recuperation after follow the exercises prescribed by PTPT. Vivian is highly skilled and really knows her business.”
Clifford Ryan

“Vivian is the best there is! Plain and simple. I have had more improvements with my injury in one visit with Vivian than I have in 3 years of medicines and all other remedies that I have tried. She is fantastic at what she does and helps you find the true root to whatever it is that you need to work on in order to begin your route to recovery!”
Johnpaul Rivera

“And ... Thank you for today. I am so much at peace right now, that I don't even recognize myself. You are wonderful, and your staff of therapists are also great. They represent you extremely well. Love and Admiration - - Your Steely Dan cover band Band Leader ...”
Steve

“I had the privilege of getting physical therapy and massage from the owner, Vivian, and not only my neck pain was eventually gone, she converted me into a physical exercise fanatic (well, I do my exercises regularly now!). It seems that she knows a few secrets to good physical health and I'd definetely would go to her again and again, if not for pain therapy, just for any old physical therapy. She is so good! Too bad I can only do it when visiting . ”
Pavel Butorin Sunnyside, New York

“The Prevent The Pain Clinic itself is a place for physical therapy, Pilates, manual therapy, laser light therapy, sports rehabilitation and just a cool place to hang out and meet really really interesting people. I didn't want to leave the place - ever.... Vivian, the owner and one of the resident healers - made me leave! (kidding) RUN. Call for an appointment. HURRY! My Best,”
Jodi Seidler

“I am so impressed with Vivian’s ability to spot the source of a physical problem and know just how to treat it in the fewest number of visits. I especially appreciate her keen awareness of the human body and her dedication in making sure that I follow through with her advice on my posture and body alignment. She’s my very own Jewish mother wrapped up in a healing professional.”

Why do we pay for psychotherapy when massages cost half as much?
~Jason Love

Manual Therapy

I cannot tell you how often people ask me "what kind of massages do your massage therapists do - shiatsu, deep tissue etc.". It's not a bad question, but it is like asking an artist "what kind of brush strokes do you use?" The answer is "whatever is necessary" - but let me put it to you this way: All of the PTPT massage therapists are gifted practitioners with the ability to know what kind of massage you may need on top of being highly educated in their field. One person might need what I call "one layer off" - to take of a layer of tension and tightness that is stopping them from feeling loose and focused. Another one of you may need specific trigger point therapy for your neck and lower back. The communication between massage therapists and physical therapists at PTPT gives the client one step up in receiving the best massage they have had in years.

For patients who have been evaluated by the physical therapist, massages might focus primarily on the muscles that have been overworked (e.g. upper traps or low back muscles) to speed up the "stretching phase" of their therapy.

For clients who just want a really good massage, feel confident that you will receive the highest quality of professional care here at PTPT. Please don't hesitate to share with our therapists what works or doesn't work for you. At PTPT, we work TOGETHER to get the results you are looking for.

We make sure to first define your areas of concern, taking into consideration your age, gender, history and sensitivity levels. Our expert therapists use a variety of techniques that easily and efficiently unravel years of stress and tension. With a full menu of therapies, including shiatsu, deep tissue, trigger point work and more, we can treat a systemic issue or a specific joint in question. Our therapists will restore your movement and overall well being.

PTPT is proud to feature the talents and services of:

Marcia always says that Massage chose her, she didn't choose it. She loves that fact because she is compelled by passion. Marcia has been in massage therapy for seven years, and still goes to work everyday like it’s something new. She tries to stay open to all the different experiences the field offers, especially working with Vivian at Prevent the Pain.

  • Jason
