As a person who had to heal myself from 12 years of a debilitating illness –Chronic Fatigue Syndrome- I clearly learned that proper nutrition directly not only put my illness into remission, but also is helping to ease and expedite the process of physical recovery from years of weakness and disability.
In this day and age, prevention of illness through maintaining a healthy immune system and body function begins with the proper nutrients. Nutraceuticals refer to extracts of foods claiming to have a medicinal effect on human health. It implies that the extract or food is demonstrated to have a physiological benefit or provide protection against a chronic disease. In other words – vitamins minerals and herbs bottled in a lab for us to eat to get the benefits of the nutrients for health. With soil not being turned the right way we are not receiving our nutrients through our food alone any more.
